Course Description

Investigations involve a continual series of interconnecting, cognitive processes. Attention is necessary to focus on the task and select relevant information. Reasoning is used to make sense of the information available and missing to draw conclusions. Finally, decision-making is involved in choosing the most appropriate course of action.

This course introduces participants to the principles and techniques of investigative reasoning. Students will learn how to think critically, evaluate evidence, and draw logical conclusions in various investigative scenarios. Through a combination of recorded lectures, case study, and hands-on exercises, participants will develop their analytical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the investigative process.
