Course Description

In this fast-paced session, participants will gain an understanding of the importance of brand image to law enforcement and what makes up the legitimacy triangle of brand development: direct contact, word of mouth and media coverage.

Discussion includes:

  • The importance of the internal culture that contributes to brand image
  • Motivations of traditional news media
  • How to better manage messages from law enforcement to myriad audiences, including the three-step interview preparation process

The session concludes with best practices before, during, and after a crisis
