OSH-3003A - HAZWOPER 8 Hr

Course Description

This course meets the OSHA training requirements for awareness level training for HazMat emergency personnel as outlined in the HazWOPER standard, 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii).  HazMat emergency personnel at the awareness level are individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release within their work environment. 

The purpose of this course is to ensure hazardous material awareness and recognition and promote safety among employees who may discover chemical hazards in the workplace.  

The objective is to ensure that employees are properly trained in recognizing a hazardous substance release and have been trained in how to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release.
