Course Description

This course examines the current trends and methods leading to the increases in retail theft both externally and internally. Through a multimedia presentation and practical exercises our instructor leads the attendee to fully understand retail theft today and to understand methods to prevent and detect theft.

Armed with this knowledge the law enforcement and loss prevention practitioner will be empowered to address specific common place crimes with proven techniques. The participant will also be prepared to apply prevention techniques to trends in the future and to present short topical versions of this training to their associates or business partners.

 A visit to a retail environment to identify vulnerabilities and indicators of theft will be conducted as part of this course.
