Course Description

This course prepares the operators for numerous ways of approaching vehicles and gaining full control of the vehicle prior to opening doors and attempting to extract anyone out. This is an intense course and very demanding due to each operator taking care of his own responsibility during every evolution.  

The operator will be trained on the positioning around the vehicle from a frontal approach, rear approach, and side approach. The L-shape will be introduced with operators approaching vehicles on foot from an LCC and a transport vehicle.  A great deal of emphasis is placed on the angles of fire into the vehicle. The operator will use a gas mask, flash bang, breeching tools. They will also conduct live fire shooting into the vehicle and live fire shooting into vehicle while in a gas contaminated environment. There are several other practical exercises that are covered during this block of instructions.
