Course Description

The interview is a communicative interchange between the interviewer and the interviewee. When interviewing a less than fully cooperative interviewee, there exists differing goals among the two. Each, while endeavoring to reach their interview outcome is conducting - on implicit and explicit levels – an assessment of the other. What the interviewee’s assessment of the interviewer reveals determines the next move the interviewee will undertake. The interviewer unaware that the interviewee is also capable of making assessments is vulnerable to disclosing the degree of information to allow the interviewee to prevail.
