Course Description

This intense course will challenge officers through lecture, discussions, and video footage of fellow officers that have been involved in a shooting.
It will:
  • Assist the officer in preparation for deadly encounters.
  • Open the mindset to understanding the obstacles that will be encountered after the shooting.
  • Provide ideas that need to be in place and already shared to loved ones in the officer's life when the day comes.
  • Assist officers in preparing for supporting their fellow officer and family after a deadly encounter, or just a use of deadly force encounter.
  • Allow officers to face reality and challenge themselves, preparing mentally and physically.
  • Delve deeply into psychological and physiological aspects of a shooting.
At the end of this block of instruction, every student should leave with a stronger commitment to be more dedicated, motivated, obligated and determined to be ready for the fight.
