Course Description

This training block will incorporate law enforcement and fire/rescue response drills, with emphasis on RTF team operation and effective communication.

As the law enforcement response to active shooter events has evolved, one of the newer ideas to gain popularity is the concept of the rescue task force (RTF).  This approach utilizes fire/rescue resources and teams them up with law enforcement responders for entry into a warm zone, thereby expediting the treatment and evacuation of critically injured victims.
