Course Description

This lecture is presented based on three critical incidents involving deadly force, tactical response, and PTSD that threatened the life of the 3 individual presenters.

The first lecture involves Sheriff Mike Neal who killed 2 active shooters in West Memphis in 2010 after they killed 2 officers and shot 2 others.

The second lecture is based on the Club Pulse Night Club shooting in Florida on June 12, 2016.

The final portion of the lecture is based on the life of Jason Fitzwater who lost his position as police chief due to a DWI and he then spiraled out of control, nearly taking his own life.

These three lectures reveal the emotional dangers that result from the high stresses of the law enforcement profession and direct the students toward methods to maintain mental, psychological, physical, and spiritual equilibrium in their lives.
