CJC-5020ET - Low-Power Variable Optics (LPVO)

Course Description

This training will provide specific instruction on how to properly use the Low-Power Variable Optics (LPVO) mounted on a patrol rifle.

At the end of this course of instruction, the student will be able to achieve the following objectives/skill sets in accordance with the information received during this instructional period:

• Demonstrate loading, unloading, clearing, and immediate action of a primary weapon and secondary weapon
• Zero and/or confirm zero for patrol rifle mechanical sights
• Mount and zero a LPVO to a patrol rifle
• Demonstrate the ability to rapidly select, deploy, and establish “hasty” firing positions
• Demonstrate the ability to engage targets while using barricades and elevated positions
• Demonstrate the ability to engage threat targets with extreme-precision up to 50-yards and extreme accuracy at 200-yards
• Successfully pass a qualification course of fire with 100%
