CJC-5005DD - Background Investigation

Course Description

Background Investigation focuses on the objectives outlined by the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and the NC Sheriffs' Education and Training Standards Commission for law enforcement applicants. Students will learn how to conduct background-related interviews utilizing questions that elicit accurate
information regarding persons applying for law enforcement positions, and apply the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to the background investigation.  Students will utilize appropriate sources of information to verify or develop information regarding applicants and demonstrate a practical exercise
the ability to collect accurate information and present the finding of an applicant.
