Course Description

The last four decades have involved significant societal shifts toward situational ethics, the abdication of responsibility, moral ambiguity and a heightened sense of entitlement.  Additionally we are experiencing the delayed onset of adulthood and the diminution of the ability to focus and pay attention. All of these shifting dynamics are making themselves felt throughout society but nowhere more obviously than in the investigative arena.  Consequently, from the investigation, applicant interview, audits, HR issues continuing through to interviews related to internal irregularities or fraud, interviewing generation me brings forth a whole new set of criteria. In the session “Interviewing Generation ME!” the new set of criteria is presented, explored and aligned with the interview process.  Individual exercises are utilized to address the related elements and recommended interview strategies to respond to their subsequent influences. Lastly, each participant will have the opportunity to evaluate his/her own strengths and weakness with regard to interviewing generation me.  This evaluation will result in the development of an interviewing-capability enhancement plan designed to emphasize individual strengths and formulate a strategy for overcoming related challenges.
