Course Description

Rapid Intervention Series (RIC 2020) covers Safety and Survival, Mayday, and Rapid Intervention Crew (RIC), the three topics necessary to meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities to satisfy the key requirements of NFPA 1407: Standard for Training Fire Service Rapid Intervention Crews (2020 edition). This series course combines all content from courses FIP-6412 Rapid Intervention Crew (RIC 2020) and FIP-6413 Mayday/Safety & Survival (RIC 2020). This course should be offered consistent with the most current NC Fire and Rescue Commission guidelines; contact the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for details.
