Workforce Development

Workforce Development programs are designed to help you get the education, skills and certifications that can lead straight to a sustainable career with good pay, hours and benefits. We offer customized training for in-demand jobs in fields such as logistics and transportation, advanced manufacturing, plastics technology and more.

 

These courses are taught by qualified professionals with years of experience in their fields, and our partnerships with agencies like the North Carolina Manufacturing Institute allow us to provide specialized training for the careers of today and tomorrow. Our workforce development pathways and many of our continuing education courses offer opportunities for scholarships and tuition assistance so that you can get the training you need without the financial burden of paying for classes.

 

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rowan-Cabarrus has received funds from the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) program to expand workforce development programs and offer scholarships to eligible students enrolling in high-demand workforce training programs within specific pathways. We offer GEER-approved pathways in automotive, construction, criminal justice, emergency medical services, fire and emergency services, healthcare, industrial/manufacturing, information technology, and transportation.
